This course examines the concept of a business as “a group of stakeholders with interdependent objectives and rewards.” It demonstrates the way in which a business’ objectives can be defined in terms of a hierarchical decision-making model, and explains how the budgeting process can be placed within the context of overall business planning and business processes. Finally, it explains the underlying concepts within financial statements.
