Intellexis China also announced that it has gained its first customers, including the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, global corporate ABB and the Japanese Pharma company Eisai. Intellexis China will market both e-learning and classroom-based
financial training programmes to China's commercial and
public sectors. It will also work with Intellexis UK to
customise and develop new products for the Chinese market. Already translated into Mandarin are 36 financial awareness e-learning courses from the Intellexis product range. The courses cover finance for the non financial managers such as financial statements, ratio analysis, costing, project appraisal; courses for the finance professional such as, shareholder value, working capital management, international currency management; and the Cash Flow Challenge, an interactive business simulation to enable managers to understand the sources and applications of cash. One of key products of the Intellexis portfolio which has been translated and customised for the Chinese is FACT - a web-based tool that enables organisations to assess financial competence of their managers, identify individual knowledge gaps and then can target training resources in the most effective way. Jerry Wang, Managing Director of Intellexis China said, "Having access to Intellexis know-how and its high-quality learning products, has been an important development for us. We're experiencing an explosion in commercial activity, but to operate effectively in local markets and compete in international ones, Chinese business people need a much better understanding of finance and it impact upon business performance. The Intellexis courses are able to cover a lot of ground and yet still present information in a simple and informative way and we feel that will prove to be very popular with businesses here in China." David Willis, Managing Director, Intellexis, said, "Establishing such a strong foothold in China and having done so ahead of the competition is a huge fillip for our business and the Intellexis brand. Everyone is aware of the business potential of the Chinese market. However, our approach to setting up in China has been done in such a way that we are sharing the expertise we've built up over the last 17 years to benefit the Chinese business community, and we're supporting local Chinese people to develop their own business opportunities."
