Executive Briefing (2-3 hours).A facilitated workshop for the board and senior management, drawing upon the preliminary impact assessment work performed by your IFRS implementation team and our experiences of other conversion projects. This workshop will help to secure stakeholder buy-in, raise board level issues and ensure stakeholders can comment knowledgeably on the conversion programme to internal and external parties. Typically our role includes facilitation and presentation
of core subject matter supported by one of your IFRS implementation
team to provide details of your specific conversion issues. IFRS Technical Update 2006 (1 day)This course provides participants with an understanding of forthcoming changes to IFRS. This update focuses on changes that will apply for 2006 year ends and looks forward to developments for 2007 and beyond. The course will also describe how these changes are being dealt with by the UK's ASB. This one day course includes short case studies and discussions as well as presentations on key features of the standards. Content is regularly updated to ensure it reflects the current position on Exposure Drafts and Draft IFRIC Interpretations and is appropriate for 2006 year ends. UK GAAP Update 2006 (1 day)This course provides participants with a high level overview of the key changes to UK GAAP in the past year and looks forward to changes for 2006 and 2007. This one day course includes short case studies and discussions as well as presentations on key features of the standards. Specific reference is made to identify how and where UK GAAP is converging on IFRS. Content is frequently reviewed to ensure it is appropriate for 2006 year ends. IFRS for Analysts (1 day)This course looks at the critical differences between UK GAAP and IFRS for financial analysts and customer relationship managers, focusing on the impact the standards have on key earnings and balance sheet ratios and disclosures. The programme is highly interactive and based on reviews of company financial statements, interpreting the accounting policies and case studies examining the impact on key ratios of new and differing treatments. Where required, the course can be tailored to allow a facilitated discussion on the opportunities and threats that IFRS conversion may have on your product portfolio. Public CourseTransition to IFRS (1 day)This course provides participants with a high level overview of the key features of IFRS and highlights areas that companies transitioning to IFRS from UK GAAP should be concerned about. This one day course includes short case studies and discussions as well as presentations on key features of the standards. Specific reference is made to identify key differences from UK GAAP using extracts from published reconciliation statements.
