Intellexis was founded in 1988 with the aim of helping managers and business professionals understand the financial principles of business. We offer a range of financial e-learning courses covering topics as fundamental as the purpose of a balance sheet and as complex as Activity Based Costing.

The IMD business school in Switzerland ranks 4th in the world for executive education (Source: FT Survey, May 2004) IMD found that delegates attending its Executive MBA and open courses often had significantly different levels of financial knowledge. This meant that valuable time early in the course programme was spent ensuring all delegates had the same level of understanding. IMD needed a solution that would enable its delegates to develop a consistent and thorough understanding of financial principles, prior to embarking on its MBA programmes.

Working with IMD to establish the knowledge pre-requisites of the IMD programmes led Intellexis to propose a suite of 14 e-learning modules covering Financial Fundamentals, Operational Analysis and Strategic Analysis.

Since 1998, Intellexis courses have been integrated into a variety of programmes run by IMD including the Programme for Executive Development, Executive MBA, 'Building on Talent' and multiple in-company programmes. Prior to attending these programmes, delegates are provided with access to the courses via the IMD Learning portal, or on CD-ROM.
